Anna S. Park has extensive litigation experience, successfully representing clients in complex commercial disputes in state and federal courts for nearly ten years. She has helped represent multinational financial institutions, banks and Fortune 500 companies, particularly in the areas of commercial litigation, real estate litigation, banking and insurance coverage disputes.
Over the years she has been an important part of ZEK teams that effectively represented lenders and servicers, including in connection with non-performing portfolio and CMBS loans involving workouts, settlement, receivership, leasehold interests, easements, note sales and judicial and non-judicial foreclosures. She also has represented corporate and individual clients in actions involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, business torts, trade mark, trade secret and RICO claims.
ZEK’s clients rely on Anna’s sharp and creative litigation strategies, and sophisticated application of state and federal procedures. Such understanding and skills have led to victories in challenging and complex matters, especially where strategy and outmaneuvering are essential to achieving the client’s business objectives quickly and efficiently. For example, Anna helped ZEK secure a client’s dismissal from an action involving convoluted fraud allegations at the very outset of the litigation that saved the client from being dragged through years of fraud litigation and hundreds of thousands of dollars in potential legal fees. Moreover, she has successfully negotiated, settled and/or resolved issues to the benefit of the client even in the most problematic matters against temperamental and disobliging adversaries. Recently, she not only effectively defended a client in a contempt motion, but helped craft a strategy that turned the tables on the adversary, by convincing the Court to award sanctions against the attorney who initially sought contempt.
Most recently, Anna was part of the ZEK team that successfully defended an environmental consulting firm in connection with an action to set aside a multi-billion dollar foreign judgment that involved, among other claims, RICO and fraud. In addition, Anna simultaneously handled the related insurance coverage dispute involving the same client in another jurisdiction.
Anna has proudly co-chaired the New York State Bar Association’s Committee on Women in the Law since 2011. The Committee focuses on legal issues affecting women, as well as professional development and advancement of women attorneys in the law. Anna also co-chairs the New York State Bar Association’s Commercial Federal Litigation Section’s Membership Committee.
Anna joined ZEK’s New York office in 2007.
