Kenny Oh is an Associate in ZEK’s litigation group. A commercial litigator, he practices in the state and federal courts of New York and New Jersey, at both the trial and appellate levels.

PRACTICE AREAS

Banking Litigation - Kenny regularly defends banks and other financial institutions, including mortgage servicers with respect to lender liability claims and federal and state compliance issues. These include claims arising under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Real Estate Settlement Practices Act and the Truth In Lending Act.

Real Estate Litigation - Kenny’s practice includes representing banking institutions, mortgage lenders and servicers, and trusts in contract litigation, title claims and contested foreclosures. Kenny has also litigated matters including quiet title actions, as well as handled the negotiation and litigation of municipal tax, zoning, code enforcement, and lien obligations.

Commercial Litigation – Kenny’s practice also includes litigating general business and commercial issues, such as fraud, breach of contract, unfair trade practices, finance matters as well as commercial disputes arising under the Uniform Commercial Code concerning sales, negotiable instruments, funds transfers and secured transactions.

Prior to joining ZEK, Kenny practiced at an AM Law 200 firm representing banking institutions, mortgage lenders and servicers, and trusts in contested foreclosures, title claims, and contract litigation. He also defended clients facing claims brought under RESPA, TILA, FCRA, FDCPA, TCPA, related state statutes, and asbestos matters. Kenny previously practiced at a national law firm representing consumer debtors and defended public benefit corporations.

Kenny is a member of the Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York (KALAGNY) and National Asian Pacific American Bar association (NAPABA). During his free time, Kenny has volunteered as a basketball coach for underserved Asian and immigrant youth at Apex for Youth.
