ZEK was founded by lawyers who
began their careers at prominent institutional law firms.
Dissatisfied with aspects of the "big firm" environment where
at times, they felt like mere cogs in a machine and where
a personal life outside the office was deemed a superfluous
luxury, these lawyers aspired to create a different kind of
law firm, one where a successful, rewarding legal practice
could comfortably coexist with a balanced personal life. They
succeeded, and like-minded attorneys have been attracted to
the ZEK ever since.
We believe that ZEK represents an appealing balance between
a challenging legal practice and a milieu in which lawyers
are encouraged to pursue their interests outside the office.
We are always on the lookout for bright, energetic lawyers
who enjoy the practice of law, seek a collegial professional
situation and value the importance of a personal life.
ZEK offers associates an excellent environment in which to
develop and exercise their legal skills. Unlike other firms,
where partners routinely delegate discrete tasks to associates,
junior lawyers at ZEK are given significant responsibility
for matters assigned to them. Working closely with the Firm's
partners, these lawyers are involved in all aspects of client
