Susy Sarfaty
v. Safra National Bank
ZEK attorneys obtained a judgment
on behalf of its client, Safra National Bank, dismissing a
petition, after trial in the Supreme Court, New York County,
in connection with a proceeding by a judgment creditor seeking
the turnover of funds. By its petition, the judgment creditor
alleged that Safra National Bank had improperly set-off against
a very large certificate of deposit. ZEK was able to convince
the court that discrepancies in certain loan documents were
the result of scrivener's error and that Safra National Bank
had properly exercised its right of set-off. |
