Alan Horn joined ZEK in 2008 as Of Counsel. Prior to his affiliation with the firm, Alan was Executive Vice President and General Counsel of American Home Mortgage Investment Corporation and, before that, Senior Vice President and General Counsel of European American Bank.

With over 20 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry, Alan has extensive experience in bank, mortgage industry, and securities regulatory matters; commercial litigation and bankruptcy; mergers and acquisitions; employment law; and commercial and consumer lending. He has also been the primary legal advisor in a wealth of complex corporate and real estate transactions. As the chief legal advisor to the boards of both a New York Stock Exchange listed company and a major regional bank, Alan has vast knowledge of all aspects of corporate governance, including the fiduciary duties of board members, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and executive compensation issues.

Alan is a former Chairman of the New York Bankers Association Lawyers Advisory Committee.
