William T. Marshall, Jr. became
a partner at ZEK in 1999, after having spent 14 years as a
partner in the law firm he founded, Sullivan & Marshall. The
managing partner of ZEK's New Jersey office, Bill also practices
in New York. He has had extensive experience in the field
of commercial litigation, including such areas as banking,
contracts, employment law, insurance, securities and commodity
futures. His litigation experience includes reparations proceedings,
and arbitrations in the securities and commodity futures industry,
where he has also been an arbitrator.
During the period 1978 to 1985 he was employed as Vice President
and Counsel in the Litigation Department of Merrill Lynch,
Pierce Fenner & Smith Inc., where he served as Manager of
New York Litigation and Co-manager of Special Litigation for
the firm. Prior to that, he spent seven years as an associate
in the Insurance and Banking Department at the law firm of
Bigham Englar Jones & Houston. A graduate of Manhattan College,
he is a former President of the Alumni Society and former
ex-officio member of the College's Board of Trustees. From
1990 to 1996 he held public office as Councilman for the Borough
of Morris Plains, New Jersey.
