Anthony Loney Joins Zeichner Ellman & Krause LLP as an Associate

Zeichner Ellman & Krause LLP is pleased to announce that Anthony Loney has joined the firm as an Associate. Mr. Loney, based in the firm’s Connecticut office, is a commercial litigator practicing in the state and federal courts of Connecticut, both at the trial and appellate levels. He is also licensed to practice law in New York and Florida, where he has practiced in both jurisdictions.

Mr. Loney regularly defends banks and other financial institutions against various liability claims and concerning federal and state compliance issues, including claims arising under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Real Estate Settlement Practices Act, and the Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act.

His practice also includes litigating general business and commercial issues, including those concerning fraud, breach of contract, unfair trade practices, finance and commercial disputes arising under the Uniform Commercial Code.

In the area of real estate litigation, Mr. Loney’s practice includes the enforcement of commercial loan obligations through commercial foreclosure actions, replevin actions and workouts. He has also litigated such matters as quiet title and reformation actions, and has been active in the negotiation and litigation of matters involving municipal tax, zoning, code enforcement, and lien obligations.

Recognized as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers, Mr. Loney has published articles concerning banking litigation in the Harford Business Journal and the Connecticut Bankers Association’s quarterly magazine. He has also worked with the Connecticut Veterans Legal Center, both on its Advisory Board and in representing disabled veterans in pro bono matters.
