Chenkin and Yoav M. Griver will be speaking at the First Annual Cyber Warfare One Day Symposium at John Jay College in New York City. ZEK Special Counsel Daniel B. Garrie, as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Law and Cyber Warfare, will be speaking and hosting the Symposium. Mr. Chenkin will be part of a panel explaining the difference between a cyber criminal and a cyber soldier, including how companies can best address cyber attacks by State Actors. Mr. Griver will be part of a panel discussing the pros and cons of creating and maintaining an International Court where Cyber War Crimes would be tried. Mr. Garrie will be moderating a panel discussing cyber warfare, the problems it poses, and the inherent differences between it and traditional, kinetic warfare. He also will be part of a panel discussing how private companies can best respond to a cyber intrusion, and the legal pitfalls a company will likely face because of a cyber intrusion. The Cyber Warfare One Day Symposium, convened by the Journal of Law and Cyber Warfare, is intended to focus on the existing international regulations on cyber-weapons, cyber-warfare, and cyber-security. Its agenda is to promote constructive discourse about Cyber Warfare/Terrorism among thought leaders from a comprehensive range of sectors, including (but not limited to): NGOs, government, tech, commercial, military, cultural, and legal communities.
