In their article, Garrie and Morrissy provide the reader with a brief history of the field of digital forensics, and then proffer a cohesive framework for analyzing a forensic report proffered by a digital forensic expert. This framework can be used for testing a forensic report, whether submitted by your adversary or to be submitted by you, against the expert evaluation standards enunciated by the Supreme Court in Daubert and Kumho Tire.
