ZEK’s Garrie and Griver Publish Article in Law 360 on “Privacy Vs. Accessibility: Can They Coexist In Cyberspace?”

On February 26,2016, ZEK’s Daniel Garrie and Yoav M. Griver published an article in Law 360 on how cybersecurity concerns reflect a larger issue — the potential conflict between privacy and data accessibility.  In the article, the authors use Apple’s objections to a Court order, requiring Apple to help create a “backdoor” to an iPhone used by one of the San Bernadino, California terrorists, to illustrate and explain this larger issue.

Daniel Garrie is the co-head of ZEK’s Cybersecurity Practice, and coordinates the firm’s privacy, forensics and e-discovery practices. Yoav frequently lectures on e-discovery, cybersecurity, and risk management issues nationally, and writes on these matters for a variety of journals, periodicals, and legal reviews. He is co-editor and an author of the multi-year treatise, Dispute Resolution and e-Discovery, which is published by Thomson Reuters.
